Warped Tour just announced that All That Matters from Atlanta Ga will be playing a set in their home town on 6/29/17 at Aaron's Amphitheater at Lakewood. Read below what the band has to say about this accomplishment.
How did the band get started?
The band was originally formed in high school by Jacob (our bassist) and a few other former members known as "The Party Scene." The vocalist at the time sent Jeremy, our current guitarist, a song they wrote and he asked if he could come in and manage the band. Eventually, after multiple line up changes and a name change the band started taking things more seriously and officially became All That Matters and shortly after released their debut EP, "Anatomy of Defeat." How did you come up with the bands name? The name All That Matters started as a joke because it would sound funny saying it in a live setting. "What up *insert city name here* We are All That Matters!" But it grew into something deeper over time.
Describe the style of your music?
We like to think its an equal balance of old school and new school music. We're often related bands like New Found Glory and Blink 182 but also Neck Deep and The Wonder Years.
How does it feel to win a chance to play Warped Tour in your city?
Three years ago, we made a personal goal for ourselves to play warped tour. When the time came and we felt like we were ready to take this next step, we dedicated all of our time to making this dream come true. We worked day in and day out coming up with new ideas of how to influence people to vote for us. But we weren't the only ones working hard. Our friends and family helped us a lot to get this opportunity to play. And thats how the music video for Old Flame came about. We wanted to create something original but at the same time showcased our energy and all of the great people who helped us get to where we are now. So now that we've actually been given the opportunity to play Warped Tour, it feels incredible to see all of our hard work pay off. We're able to enjoy the fruits of our labor and it feels so unreal.
What does warped tour mean to you?
Warped Tour is like one big family. It's a family of bands and a family of listeners. We're all in the same place at the same time for the same reason, to express yourself in a comfortable environment and feel like you're apart of something. Regardless of what you believe or how you look, Warped Tour helps us step away from all of our differences and for a brief moment in time we're one big family and thats All That Matters.
